Vote For The Garlic!

It's been a couple of years since we've done anything like this (we were once nominated for a Koufax Award).

A few fellow bloggers hipped me to the 2008 Weblog Awards, and suggested I put The Garlic in the hunt, so we nominated The Garlic in the category of "Best Humor Blog" (they don't have a satire, or snark, category);

The Weblog Awards are the world's largest blog competition, with over 500,000 votes cast in the 2007 edition for finalists in 45 categories. Nominations for The 2008 Weblog Awards are scheduled to begin in late Oct. 2008 with voting is scheduled to begin Dec. 1, 2008.
(You can click HERE to view all the categories for nomination)

Now, the way these things usually work is some big-ass blog, with a zillion readers, floods the voting.

The Garlic is neither "big-assed", nor do we have a "zillion" readers.

However, it would be nice to give one of the big-asses a run-for-the-money, so, if you like what we do here, take a minute, use the links below, and toss The Garlic a vote.

It's very simple, and, should only take a few seconds.

This link HERE will take you to a page where The Garlic nomination is right on top.

There just two-weeks left, so, get over there and vote!

And, if you need to refresh yourself, or to be convinced The Garlic is worthy of your vote, here's a handful of some of the more popular posts this year (you can scroll down the left column to see some of our past Best Posts, in 'Reader Favorites').

Many Thanks for your consideration!
